The Sales Management Intern will work with the Sales Support to help facilitate key tasks throughout the day. This position will report directly to the Business Development Managers and will be responsible for running/producing reports, refreshing the load board, transferring leads in the CRM, data entry, carrier scrubbing, lead generation, and other sales tasks. 

Day-to-Day Operations

  • Responsible for day-to-day updates to the sales floor
  • Create and manage CRM profiles
  • Transfer CRM leads
  • Provide load board updates and keep the load board current/refreshed
  • Send out bi-weekly reports
  • Maintain high service levels within the office for sales consultants
  • Identify and communicate any issues associated with the movement of freight to sales support
  • Generate additional business through prospecting, referrals, and cold calling
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records
  • Ensure all database documentation is compliant with industry/internal standards
  • Communicate with management team to improve processes/add efficiency
  • Accurately be able to navigate Aljex and transfer accounts
  • Gain an understanding of markets, including seasonal freight
  • Occasionally oversee transportation in route to ensure timely pick-up and delivery
  • Communicate with internal team members to ensure all parts of assigned delivery are completed
  • Maintain CRM/sales information in an internal database, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports
