The Carrier Relations Representative will work with assigned team to expand the FWF carrier network. This position will report directly to the department lead on a daily basis, and will be responsible for negotiating carrier rates, building relationships, onboarding new carriers, carrier compliance, database tracking, and pairing carriers with FWF common lanes and shipments among other tasks as assigned. 

Day-to-Day Operations 

  • Develop new and grow existing carrier relationships 
  • Build relationships with carriers based on FWF business needs to secure additional capacity to meet the demands of the sales team 
  • Provide exceptional service to our carriers 
  • Onboard new carriers through thorough communication and detailed data entry that includes common lanes, available equipment, and optimal points of contact 
  • Negotiate rates with carriers to secure efficient capacity to meet FWF business needs 
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations including carrier compliance 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date carrier records 
  • Ensure all database documentation is compliant with industry standards 
  • Maintain complete understanding of markets including seasonal freight 
  • Maintain complete understanding of targeted capacity including POC’s, common lanes, and common trailer types 
  • Collaborate with assigned carrier relations teams to ensure optimal capacity is secured 
  • Maintain carrier information in internal database including location, equipment type, and availability 
  • Vet all carriers thoroughly prior to onboarding with FWF
